Two-time DP World Tour winner Viktor Hovland is set to make his FedEx Open de France debut when the illustrious event returns to Le Golf National from September 24-27.
Tickets are now on sale for the 108th edition of Continental Europe’s oldest national open, which will again be held at the historic course on the outskirts of Paris following renovation.
Hovland, who was the first player from Norway to win on both the DP World Tour and the PGA TOUR, will form part of a global field, returning to Le Golf National for the first time since representing his country at the 2024 Olympics.
The 28-year-old has since featured in a third consecutive Ryder Cup, part of Team Europe’s success at Bethpage Black last year, and added a seventh PGA TOUR title to his name, winning the 2025 Valspar Championship.
He will look to create more history in his quest to become the first Norwegian winner of France’s national championship this autumn.
“I am excited to be returning to Le Golf National and playing in the Open de France for the first time,” said Hovland.
“This tournament has such a rich history, and I can’t wait to experience all that it has to offer later this year.”
The FedEx Open de France was first played in 1906, becoming part of golf’s Global Tour in 1972.
The event’s honour roll includes some of European golf’s most recognisable names, including Peter Oosterhuis, Seve Ballesteros, Bernard Gallacher, Sandy Lyle, Sir Nick Faldo, Bernhard Langer, Sam Torrance and Colin Montgomerie.
This year will mark a return to Le Golf National; the venue having hosted the tournament since 1991 on all but three occasions – 1999, 2001 and 2025.
American Michael Kim was victorious last year at Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche, holing a clutch par putt to win by one stroke over Australia’s Elvis Smylie and home favourite Jeong weon Ko.
