Viktor Hovland has been voted May's Golfer of the Month presented by DP World.
Following his impressive performance at The Masters in April, Hovland maintained his consistency at the Majors by finishing in a tie for second at the US PGA Championship
As a result, Hovland jumped 51 spots to 6th place in the Race to Dubai rankings.
The Norwegian was the only player in the field to get through the tough examination at Oak Hill Country Club without a round over par and received 48 per cent of votes.
Adrian Meronk finished in second place with 36% of the votes.
The now three-time DP World Tour winner made history as the first Polish player to win the DS Automobiles Italian Open.
He finished off four rounds in the 60s with a birdie on the 72nd hole to win by one over Romain Langasque.
Pablo Larrazábal received 13% of the votes to end up in third place.
The Spaniard has now had four wins in only 14 months with his latest being the KLM Open at Bernardus Golf.
Larrazábal made four crucial birdies on the back nine to win by two for his ninth DP World Tour title.
The remainder of the votes went to Sweden’s Simon Forsström after his stellar performance at the Soudal Open secured him his maiden victory on the DP World Tour.
