Pablo Larrazábal opened up a three-shot lead with a second-round 66 at the Volvo China Open.
Here, we take a look at what some of the chasing pack had to say after day two.
Dylan Frittelli (63, -11)
"I played quite nicely today - apparently it was pretty easy! I made a bunch of birdies and a nice eagle on 11 but it’s not as easy as it looks, I really had a great round today. I’ve been playing great for a few weeks now so whenever I make a bogey I’m really disappointed, so to get a clean card today - I haven’t done that in a while, so I’m really happy about that. Three shots back going into the weekend but somewhere in contention on the weekend is where I like to be."
Alexander Levy (70, -11)
"It was a slow start today, all day I want to say because I finished with two birdies to shoot 70. From the seventh I started to play good but I didn’t hole a lot of putts but I finished nicely. Yesterday was a fantastic day for me, I know today was different and the conditions were a little bit tougher and windy but I think I played good and it’s nice to be in this position for the weekend. You can control what you do but you can’t control the other players. I feel great, I feel happy to be in the position last week and this position this week, so I just want to have fun on the golf course."
Thomas Detry (66, -8)
"I'm very happy, it’s my first low score in a while. I played Morocco and didn’t play great there and didn’t get in last week, so it feels great to be out here and make some good putts and birdies to shoot six under. Once you start really making putts and seeing the putts go in, it gives you more confidence and then you have less pressure to hit it close to the flag on your attacks to the green and then you start making birdies. I haven’t been in that position for a while so it feels good to be out here at the top of the leaderboard so hopefully I can make a run at it."
George Coetzee (69, -8)
"It’s good to have some confidence coming into the week - I feel like I’m just trying to keep up the same stuff I was working on last week - and so far so good."
