Bubba Watson maintained his one-shot lead as the first round of the weather-delayed Shenzhen International was completed on Friday morning.
The American fired a six under par 66 on day one before an hour and 50 minutes was lost due to the threat of lightning, with a handful of players within striking distance with holes left to complete when darkness fell at Genzon Golf Club.
Among those was Austrian Bernd Wiesberger and while he made a birdie on the 17th in his remaining two holes to get to five under, nobody could catch Watson.
That left Wiesberger alongside South African duo Dean Burmester and Haydn Porteous, Frenchman Grégory Bourdy, Thai Thongchai Jaidee and German Maximilian Kieffer, all of whom finished their rounds on Thursday.
Another South African, Dylan Frittelli, was then at four under alongside Dane Thorbjørn Olesen, who parred two holes upon the resumption, and Spaniard Eduardo de la Riva who birdied the ninth.
German Bernd Ritthammer picked up two shots in his last seven holes to get to three under alongside Scotland's Scott Jamieson and England's Jordan Smith, who both picked up one in the morning
Scot Richie Ramsay and Frenchman Mike Lorenzo-Vera were both also in that group as they stayed at three under, with Tommy Fleetwood, Daniel Im, Liang Ding-feng and Liu Yan-Wei signing for rounds of 69 on Thursday.
