Marcus Kinhult picked up his maiden European Tour title at the Betfred British Masters, finishing one stroke ahead of defending champion Eddie Pepperell, four-time European Tour winner Matt Wallace and rookie Robert MacIntyre.
After dropping shots at the 15thand 16ththe Swede showed true grit, bouncing back with two clutch birdies in his final two holes to win the tournament by one stroke.
And it was on the greens of Hillside Golf Club where the 22-year-old excelled, gaining 8.9 strokes putting over the week – the second best in the field.
