Bernd Wiesberger maintained his three-shot lead as the final round of the Shenzhen International got under way at Genzon Golf Club.
The Austrian is searching for a fourth European Tour title in southern China and he made an impressive start in his first four holes, birdieing the third to get to 16 under.
South African Dylan Frittelli and American David Lipsky were his nearest challengers, a shot clear of England's Tommy Fleetwood, Frenchman Alexander Levy and Paraguay's Fabrizio Zanotti.
Levy is a course-specialist, holding the course record and winning here at the Volvo China Open in 2014, and he moved to within two shots of the lead with birdies on the second and fourth.
Lipsky also made a positive start with a birdie on the par five second but it was Frittelli who cut the gap to the leader, holing a six-footer on the same hole to get to 13 under.
The lead was soon back up to three, however, as Wiesberger put his tee-shot on the par three third to ten feet for a first birdie of the day.
Lipsky then joined Frittelli in second with a nerveless 20-footer on the fourth.
Fleetwood has never played an over-par round on this layout and he made a move on the front nine, turning in 31 with birdies on the second, sixth and seventh and an eagle on the ninth.
Zanotti also picked up five shots on the front nine, making gains on the third and fifth before rattling off a hat-trick from the seventh.
Matthew Southgate was giving some encouragement to the chasing pack and he showed there was a low round out there by making eight birdies in 16 holes to move to 11 under.
The Englishman made gains on the first four holes, the tenth, 11th, 13th and 16th with a single bogey on the 15th.
Scot Richie Ramsay turned in 32 to also sit five shots off the lead alongside Grégory Bourdy and Liu Yan-Wei, who were one under for their rounds, and George Coetzee and Ross Fisher who were level par.
