Jean-Francois Remesy will attempt to become the first home winner of the Open de France for 35 years when he takes a three shot lead into the final round at Le Golf National.
The wait is over. Thirty-five years after France last celebrated a home winner of the Open de France, Jean-Francois Remesy delighted the record crowds with a magnificent seven stroke victory over the Australian left-handers Richard Green and Nick O’Hern at Le Golf National.
A field of exceptional quality will gather at Le Golf National this week for the Open de France, the oldest of the continental Opens, which this year carries a record prize fund of €3,000,000.
