Chris Gotterup is the latest Rolex Series champion after winning his first DP World Tour title at the Genesis Scottish Open.

The victory came in his sixth DP World Tour appearance and just his second outside of the United States, so let's get to know the man from New Jersey a little better.

Born July 22, 1999 in Easton, Maryland but was raised in Rumson, New Jersey.

Played four seasons of collegiate golf at Rutgers University 2017-21 before transferring to the University of Oklahoma for 2021-22.

Was named the 2019-20 Big Ten Conference Player of the Year and finished as the league's Les Bolstad Award winner for the player with the lowest scoring average. Won the 2022 Fred Haskins and Jack Nicklaus Awards both of which recognise the Player of the Year. He finished runner-up to Ludvig Åberg at the 2022 Big 12 Conference Championship.

Earned his PGA TOUR membership for the first time via the 2023 Korn Ferry Tour after finishing 23rd on the Points List.

Won his first PGA TOUR title at the 2024 Myrtle Beach Classic.

Is a Formula One fan and follows the New York Knicks of the NBA and NHL's New Jersey Devils.

With this win at the Genesis Scottish Open

His first DP World Tour victory in his sixth appearance.

His first Rolex Series victory.

Could move to 49th position on the Official World Golf Ranking, up from 158th.

The 274th victory by an American on the DP World Tour and the fifth this season following Ryggs Johnston (ISPS HANDA Australian Open), Johannes Veerman (Nedbank Golf Challenge), Scottie Scheffler (U.S. PGA Championship) and JJ Spaun (U.S. Open).
