Grant Forrest has won the Jock MacVicar Memorial Award for finishing as the top home player at the 2025 Genesis Scottish Open.
Forrest, defending champion Robert MacIntyre and recent winner Connor Syme were the men left battling it out for the honour after making the weekend at the Renaissance Club, but Forrest's victory was comfortable in the end.
He carded a closing 69 to finish at five under, six shots clear of MacIntyre.
"It's great to honour Jock's memory," he said. "I'd known him for sort of most of my golf career from junior days till he passed away. It's a great honour to pick up his award."
Association of Golf Writers (AGW) president MacVicar passed away in April 2021 at the age of 83.
The trophy was commissioned by the DP World Tour on the AGW’s behalf to commemorate the man known fondly by friends and colleagues as ‘The Doyen’.
Richie Ramsay won the inaugural award in 2021 and was followed by Syme before MacIntyre won it back-to-back in 2023 and 2024.
