The HotelPlanner Tour visits Sweden for the 106th time this week for the Dormy Open by Creekhouse at Kristianstad Golf Club and Destination. With the Road to Mallorca heading towards its latter stages, here are three players who could make an important move this week…
Form horse: John Catlin
John Catlin has made just six appearances on the Road to Mallorca in 2026, yet the American resides just outside the promotion places and primed to make a late-season charge as he targets a return to the DP World Tour.
Catlin tasted victory in just his second outing of the campaign at the English Open supported by HotelPlanner, where he came through a marathon seven-hole play-off to beat Norwegian Kristian Krogh Johannessen at The Vale Golf Club.
The American arrives at Kristianstad in good form having made four out of five cuts and registering his best performance since his win at last week’s Vierumäki Finnish Challenge supported by Finnish Golf Union, where four under par rounds saw him end the week in a tie for seventh. A serial winner and with his game still in good shape, Catlin could be the man to beat.
Local boy: Robin Petersson
Robin Petersson, despite struggling for form on the 2026 Road to Mallorca, could hold an edge over the rest of the field this week. The 34-year-old is a member of Kristianstad and knows this week’s venue better than most, with the course boasting several long par fours weaving along undulating fairways.
Petersson, who made his HotelPlanner Tour debut back in 2017, currently sits 173rd on the Road to Mallorca and is in desperate need of momentum as he looks to reach back-to-back Rolex Grand Finals for the first time. And with home advantage on his side, this week could be the perfect catalyst for an upturn in form.
Outsider: Charlie Lindh
Another Swede, Charlie Lindh, arrives at his home HotelPlanner Tour event in impressive form. The 29-year-old is serial winner on the Nordic Golf League and announced himself at a higher level with an impressive four-stroke victory back in June on the Asian Tour at the AM Green IGPL Bharath Classic.
The victory propelled Lindh up the Official World Golf Ranking and primed to make an impact on the Road to Mallorca this week. The Swede has three HotelPlanner Tour appearances to his name in 2026 and is yet to finish outside the top 15, with his best performance coming during July’s German Challenge powered by VcG, where he ended the week in a tie for fifth. It would come as no surprise to see Lindh join his compatriots Adam Wallin and Christofer Blomstrand inside the top 15 before the season draws to its conclusion.
