Genworth Stats Pack - Round 2 Review

Round 2 of the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles produced 98 sub-par rounds and a field average score of 70.93. Ricardo Gonzalez leads on -14 with Bernd Wiesberger following behind on -13. We analyse their performances and round up the half way Genworth Statistics leaders.

Ricardo GONZALEZ -14

Ricardo Gonzalez converted eight birdies (including five birdies to finish) against one bogey on his way to a second consecutive round of 65, to lead by one at the half way stage. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 43 year old Argentine golfer ranks 23rd for Driving Accuracy and 24th for Greens in Regulation, but his performance on the greens has been spectacular, ranking 1st / 1st / 2nd for the three official Genworth putting categories. Ricardo has also acculumated the most birdies of all the players so far (alongside Wiesberger).

Bernd WIESBERGER -13

Bernd Wiesberger converted eight birdies against two bogeys on his way to a second round 66, sitting one behind Gonzalez at the half way stage. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 27 year old Austrian talent ranks 2nd for Driving Distance (averaging a huge 320 yards), 2nd for Greens in Regulation (with 32/36 greens) and 1st for Par 4 Scoring (with a 3.70 average). The same as Gonzalez, Bernd has also accumulated 15 birdies over the first 36 holes.
