The Italian Challenge forms part of the Challenge Tour schedule once again in 2017, continuing a long and illustrious association between Italy, its golfers and the European Challenge Tour.
Johan Edfors, a former winner on the European Tour, reemerged as a golfing force at Terre dei Consoli Golf Club last year, while 2015 saw a home winner when Matteo Delpodio triumphed at Olgiata GC - the first Italian winner on home soil since Edoardo Molinari was victorious on his way to topping the Rankings in 2009.
