The Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge takes place this week at Golf PGA France du Vaudreuil. Here are three players to keep an eye on…
Form horse – Max Kennedy
Max Kennedy came agonisingly close to earning a maiden HotelPlanner Tour title in the Blot Play9 last week, eventually missing out in a play-off in Brittany. The Irishman’s form has been trending in the right direction for a while, with three top 15 finishes in his last four starts seeing him rise to a season-high 20th in the Road to Mallorca Rankings. The 23-year-old earned playing privileges though DP World Tour Qualifying School last year, doing so as an amateur, and is beginning to impress in his first full season a professional.
Local boy - Oihan Guillamoundeguy
Oihan Guillamoundeguy arrives for the second of back-to-back weeks in his home country looking to build on an encouraging first half of the 2025 season. The 20-year-old is in just his second full season on the HotelPlanner Tour and has racked up three top ten finishes already this term to sit 24th on the Road to Mallorca Rankings. He also has previous form on the parkland layout in Normandy having fired four under par rounds of 71-68-71-68 here 12 months ago to finish tied eighth.
The outsider – Hugo Townsend
Hugo Townsend has made the cut in all five of his starts on the 2025 Road to Mallorca to date, with two of the last three resulting in top ten finishes. The Swede finished tied third in the Challenge de Cadiz last month and arrives at Golf PGA France du Vaudreuil fresh from a tenth-place finish just last week. Townsend has played the event in each of the last two seasons so knows the course well and led going into the weekend back in 2023, after carding rounds of 71-64 to set the halfway pace on that occasion.
