Some of the biggest names in sport, television and entertainment will come together at Wentworth Club on Wednesday May 24 for the BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am.
A total of 61 celebrities from across the sporting and show business spectrums will join a world-class field for what has become one of the social highlights of the summer.
Manchester United greatsRyan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Peter Schmeichel, part of the club’s legendary treble-winning 1999 side, are just three of the famous faces who will swap the football pitch for the fairways of the newly-revamped West Course when they partner lifelong Red Devils fan and four-time Major Champion Rory McIlroy.
The competitive juices are sure to be flowing when they tee off shortly after Anfield heroesRobbie Fowler, Jamie Redknapp and Kenny Dalglish, who are set to partner Liverpool supporter and 2018 Ryder Cup Captain Thomas Bjørn.
A footballing theme also runs through Francesco Molinari’s group - an avid Inter Milan fan – who will be joined by former Chelsea greatsGianfranco Zola, Gianluca Vialli and Andriy Shevchenko, with two-time Major Champion Martin Kaymer teeing it up alongside English greatsMatt Le Tissier, Owen Hargreaves and Teddy Sheringham.
