Travel by Road
There are good A road links to the Westin Turnberry Resort and motorists travelling to The Senior British Open are advised to use the designated routes which will be clearly signed by the AA.
Travelling from the North:
Join the A77 Southbound towards Kilmarnock, Ayr, Stranraer.
Continue on A77 south through Minishant, Maybole and Kirkoswald.
At Turnberry Village turn right and follow the local road for 400 yards and the hotel is on your right.
Travelling from the South :
Take M6 North which turns into the A74.
Leave at Junction 12 onto the A70. (Signposted Ayr)
Pass through Douglas, Muirkirk, Cummnock and Coylton.
Reach roundabout with junction A77.
Take 1st exit sign posted Stranraer.
Continue on A77 south through Minishant, Maybole and Kirkoswald.
At Turnberry Village turn right and follow the local road for 400 yards and the hotel is on your right.
Travel by Air:
Glasgow International Airport is 55 miles from the Resort and approx. 1.5hrs away.
Glasgow Prestwick Airport is 20 miles from the resort and approx. 30-45 minutes away.
Travel by Rail:
Ayr Railway Station to Turnberry
Distance: 15 miles
Duration: 30 minutes (approx)
Depart Ayr Railway Station (main entrance) turning left
Move into right hand lane
At round-about take last exit on your left
Go straight through next round-about
At the next round-about take the last exit heading for the A77 towards Stranraer
Continue South through Minishant, Maybole and Kirkoswald
At Turnberry Village turn right and follow the local road for 400 yards and the hotel is on your right.
