On behalf of PGA TOUR Champions, it’s a pleasure to welcome you to the 2021 Senior Open Championship presented by Rolex. We are thrilled to return to the Sunningdale Old Course for the first time since 2015 and crown a major champion.
Our players enjoy competing on the international stage, and this event gives us the opportunity to showcase our Tour in the United Kingdom on an annual basis. During the last staging of The Senior Open in 2019, Bernhard Langer won his fourth title with a two-stroke victory at Royal Lytham and St. Annes. He has served as a great champion for the last two years and continues to be a great global ambassador for our game.
The Senior Open is the 28th of 40 tournaments in the combined 2020-21 season for PGA TOUR Champions, which will lead into the Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs. After the conclusion of the regular season, 72 players will qualify for a three-tournament series to determine the winner of the Charles Schwab Cup.
