Returns to Tour life on the Senior Tour in 2011 after playing on The European Tour and the European Challenge Tour in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Gained his card for the 2011 season courtesy of finishing sixth at Qualifying School. Closed with a round of 70 to force his way into the six players that gained full playing privileges. Finished a respectable tied 11th on his only Senior Tour appearance in the Benahavis Senior Masters in 2009 in his native Spain. Noted for his driving distance during his European Tour career. Finished joint second in the 1989 Portuguese Open on The European Tour as Colin Montgomerie claimed his first title.
