The American claimed a record-equalling victory at the Legends Course at Constance Belle Mare Plage last season and is ready to defend his title when the Mauritian venue hosts the season finale.

The five-time Staysure Tour winner clinched his fourth victory in the senior ranks by matching the lowest 54-hole score in Staysure Tour history with rounds of 63-66-64 to reach 23 under par without dropping a single shot.

“It was an amazing experience to go 23 under par without a bogey – not a drop on the card,” Dennis said. “I never would have been able to dream that. It was a great experience.

“They were probably the best three rounds of golf in a row in my career. It was amazing and probably the best I’ve ever played.”

The MCB Tour Championship heads to Madagascar and Seychelles before reaching Mauritius for the season finale. The Staysure Tour will make its maiden appearance at International Golf Club Du Rova, Madagascar as the MCB Tour Championship – Madagascar makes its debut on the International Schedule from November 29 to December 1, before the MCB Tour Championship – Seychelles returns for a second successive season from December 5-7.

With two events to come before he gets his title defence under way from December 13-15, the Texan is eager to return to the Indian Ocean as he goes in search of a second successful Staysure Tour title defence, after winning the Senior Italian Open in 2017 and 2018.

“It will be an amazing experience to defend my title in Mauritius,” he said. “We start in Madagascar, then go to Seychelles and then finish in Mauritius. It should be a great three weeks.

“It always important to be able to defend a title and I was able to do it in Italy last year after winning it the first time. It’s a great thing to do but it’s hard, very hard, but I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
