If the early starters are anything to go by, there will be some low scores when the frontrunners step out onto the course for their final rounds at The KLM Open.
Raphael Jacquelin has passed the Kennemer test in the most convincing style, producing the joint best score of the week with a six under par fourth round of 64.
It could have been even better but the Frenchman, who shot seven birdies and an eagle, dropped strokes at the ninth, 16th and 18th holes, leaving him on four under par for the competition.
It gives him the early – and somewhat vulnerable - clubhouse lead, but Peter Baker is on course to beat it after going six under overall. The Englishman has also revelled on the final day, improving from level par with seven birdies and a bogey in his first 15 holes. He still has three to play.
Thongchai Jaidee is also making rapid progress up the leaderboard, collecting five strokes from his first 13 holes. Like Jacquelin, he collected an eagle at the 12th.
Elsewhere, Robert Rock rounded off his up-and-down week with a solid 68. The Englishman took a share of the lead into the third round after going 68-64, but an 80 on Saturday ruined his chances.
His recovery, which featured three birdies and a bogey, took his overall score to level par.
Justin Rose is level par for the day through six holes, three under par overall.
Ryder Cup hopeful Darren Clarke, who starts at 13:50 local time, leads on 12 under par, while Henrik Stenson, the World Number Six, is three shots back. England’s John Bickerton is eight under par, and Marc Warren and Michael Campbell are seven under.
