Rough: Rye Grass
Fairways
Fairly generous fairways, though the rough is quite penal. The Forest of Arden is a long course with the fairways cut at 10mm and in superb condition.
Rough
Semirough: Two bands (approx. 6 metres), 1st cut of semi towards green, 2nd cut towards tee. Cut at 25mm. One band of rough cut at 60mm (approx 4 metres), rough thereafter cut at 90mm.
Greens
The greens are in their best ever condition, running at 10.3 on Monday morning, aiming for 10.6 on Thursday. Greens become a bit tricky in the afternoon with poa seed heads growing.
Course Details
Course playing fair with good bounces on fairways. It might change as showers are expected for most of the week.
Course Layout
The 18th is the feature hole, 209 yards over water. There are also reachable par 5's 12th ans 17th with lake by the green. Course in best condition ever. Superintendent Kenny McKay has done a wonderful job over the last two years.
