Grasses
The Dukes Course at Woburn features a variety of grasses as follows:
Greens: POA/Bent
Fairways: POA/Fescue
Tees: POA/Fescue
Fairways
These are quite generous in width.
Rough
The rough is in general quite sparse. 2 heights of cut
Greens
The course has generally quite flat greens. On the Monday of the tournament week they were running at 9.5 on the stimpmeter with a target of 10 - 10.5 for the tournament.
General
The Dukes course at Woburn has only one water hazard, a ditch to the left of the third hole. The main protection of the course comes from the trees which line each hole. The course sequence is changed for the event whereby the second is played as the first etc so the normal par 5 1st plays as the 18th.
