Course
The course is fairly dry therefore it won't play long. We are expecting strong winds for rounds 1 and 2. Not many drivers will be hit off the Tee this week as accuracy is paramount.
We will play the course in a different sequence than the club (Tournament's 18th hole is the club's 1st hole). This results in an unusual 34 out and 38 in.
Grasses
Greens: 60% Poa (annual meadow grass)/ 40% Bents and Fescues
Tees: Fairways and Rough: 70% Poa (annual meadow grass) and 30% Fescues.
Fairways
Fairways are quite generous in width but it is a tree lined course where accuracy off the Tee is rewarded.
Rough
There is very little Rough as the courses had to be changed (Marquess to Dukes) 2 weeks ago due to the Marquess Greens being seriously damaged by disease.
Greens

Greens are quite undulated with a severe slope on 2nd Green. All Greens are double cut and rolled every morning with the exception of Green 2 which is cut once a day.
