Grasses
Mostly Poa Annua on fairways.
Greens - 50% poa, 50% bent grass
Rough and semi-rough - Poa pratensis and Rye grass
Fairways
In excellent condition, fairly generous width, currently being cut at 11mm.
Rough
The rough is fairly consistent throughout. 90mm.
Greens
Greens are soft when it rains as they are built on clay, but getting firmer every day with the warm, dry weather.
Stimpmeter reading on September 11th - 10
If dry conditions continue, expect them to run at about 10.5 by Thursday, September 14.
Note - since last year, the 7th green has been raised by about a metre to allow pin positions near the water - in the past, it was a rather soft green which flooded easily.
Course
After a very wet summer, it has now been dry for six days. The fairways are dry so there is reasonable run on them, and they are quite generous as it is a tree-lined golf course. Overall, the course is in very good condition.
