Here is everything you need to know from an entertaining second round at Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course.

Guerrier gallops into the lead

After making nine birdies and no bogeys on Thursday afternoon, Frenchman Guerrier went low again early on day two. He turned in 34 after carding three birdies and two bogeys on his front nine but caught fire down the stretch, picking up shots at the tenth, 11th, 15th and 17th in the breeze to set an extremely tough target for the afternoon starters. Needless to say, no-one was able to get anywhere near him and he will take a five stroke advantage into the weekend.

Nienaber nearly makes an albatross

Big hitting South African Wilco Nienaber only had eyes for one thing when he arrived at the drivable par four 15th - the pin. He launched his tee shot straight at it and almost got an albatross when the second bounce landed inches from the cup. The ball eventually settled in the first cut of rough and Nienaber went on to make a birdie. But how close was this?

Déjà vu for defending champion Brown

When Steven Brown won the Portugal Masters last year, he made this brilliant eagle at the 12th in his final round to jump to 17 under par..

History repeated itself on Friday as he did this at the very same hole...

It's fair to say Brown likes the back nine's first par five.

Amazing aces

Nobody was able to make a hole-in-one on day one in Vilamoura but two came along in the afternoon on Friday. France's Mathieu Fenasse holed an eight iron at the eighth from 151 yards, while Northern Ireland's Jonathan Caldwell made his ace from 210 yards on the par three sixth. Fenasse came close to making another hole-in-one on the short 16th but his ball ended up just alongside the hole.

Migliozzi's magical moments

Guido Migliozzi shot a level par 71 on Friday but that doesn't even begin to tell the story of his day. He holed this chip at the ninth to end his front nine on a high...

The Italian then reeled off a hat-trick of gains from the 15th, rolling in from 30 feet at the 16th before narrowly missing his eagle putt at the par five 17th.
