Dodt going well in Singapore

Australian Andrew Dodt moved to the top of the leaderboard as the Barclays Singapore Open second round got under way.

With first round leader Ian Poulter not due out until later following further delays due to bad weather, Dodt and Sweden’s Daniel Chopra made early progress to climb the leaderboard.

Dodt shot a first round two under 69, and when he double bogeyed the third was all the way back to level par and five behind Poulter.

But four birdies in a row from the fifth and further gained shots at the 11th and 12th took him six under, one ahead of Poulter and Chopra.

The big-hitting Swede was one under for his first round and starting his second round at the tenth, played the back nine in a four under par 31 to move alongside England’s Poulter.

No fewer than six players were one further back on four under. Out on the course were Felipe Aguilar, Liang Wen-chong, Richard Green and Sam Hutsby, while Ernie Els and Chan Yih-shin were still to tee off following their opening 67s.
