The field for the event will be 156 players comprising:
(a) 20 Scottish professionals as determined by the Scottish PGA.
(b) The current Scottish amateur champion.
(c) 8 sponsor invitations.
(d) The balance of the field will be completed in accordance with the 2002 European Tour Exemption Category List.
