Entry Eligibility

A field of 132 will play one round on each of the first two days, after which the leading 70 professionals and those who tie for 70th place will go forward to the third and fourth rounds.

Eligibility :

  1. All previous winners of the Trophee Lancome
  1. The current Open Champion
  1. The current United States Masters Champion
  1. The current United States Open Champion
  1. The current United States PGA Champion
  1. The current Japan Open Champion
  1. The current Australian Open Champion
  1. The current South African Open Champion
  1. The current Cisco World Match Play Champion
  1. Members of the 1999 European Ryder Cup Team
  1. The leading 25 players in the Volvo Order of Merit after the 2000 BMW International Open
  1. The leading available player in accordance with the 1999 Asian PGA Davidoff Tour Final Order of Merit from the following countries: Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Singapore
  1. The leading 10 players who have entered from the World Ranking list after the 2000 WGC-NEC Invitational
  1. The top seven players from the 2000 French National Order of Merit as at 31st August, not otherwise qualified from the categories listed above
  1. A maixmum of seven players nominated by the sponsor in agreement with the PGA European Tour, two of whom must be Members of the PGA European Tour
  1. Current holder of the European Amateur Championship and the French Amateur (closed) Championship
  1. The balance of the field will be completed in accordance with the PGA European Tour Category Ranking List.
