INTERESTING FACTS
When winning the US Open Championship in 2000 by 15 shots, Tiger Woods, created Major Championship history by creating the largest winning margin. Bethpage State Park will be hosting its first US Open Championship and has already entered the record books as the longest course in US Open Championship history, measuring 7,214 yards, beating Congressional Country Club in 1997, which was 7,213 yards. Defending champion Retief Goosen is looking to become the first player since Curtis Strange (1988-89) to successfully defend the title.
Bethpage State Park will also boast three of the longest par four's in the event's history.
