New Zealand's Daniel Pearce held a one shot lead after the first round of the Fiji International thanks to a brilliant burst of scoring around the turn.
Here, we take a look at what some of the chasing pack had to say after their opening rounds.
Daniel Valente (67, -5)
"It was actually nice to finish just before the dark. It's a real test of golf here. Normally in Australia if you play early you get the better of the conditions but it's still probably going to be blowing a gale in the morning so you've just got to be ready for the battle."
Gavin Green (68, -4)
"It's nice to be in Fiji, we get to meet a lot of different people. If the wind keeps blowing like this, I am not going to change my game plan at all. I will stick to the same game plan and focus on making as many pars and birdies as possible."
Austin Connelly (69, -3)
"I got off to a good start. I started on hole ten which was really difficult, just straight into the wind so I got through that hole and made par. I made a nice putt for birdie on 12 and then dropped a quick shot on the next but overall I had a nice stretch of golf in the middle of my round. Eagle, par, birdie, birdie, birdie in the middle, it’s pretty nice."
