Ross Fisher joined Paul Casey in a share of the lead with nine holes to play in the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Club.
As Casey bogeyed the eighth, fellow Englishman Ross Fisher had his fourth birdie in six holes at the ninth to turn in a four under 31.
He followed it up with another at the tenth to go five under for the day, while Casey had not made any headway on his 13 under overnight score.
Two years after he shot a closing 84 when leading with a round to go Fisher stood 13 under alongside Casey, while Northern Ireland 20 year old Rory McIlroy had improved from nine under to 11 under and was fourth.
Dane Søren Kjeldsen birdied the ninth to take sole possession of third on 12 under.
