The event will be a 72 hole strokeplay pro-am played over 3 courses. TEAMS WILL CONSIST OF 1 PROFESSIONAL AND 1 AMATEUR and play will be in 4 ball groups (2 teams).
There will be 2 competitions running concurrently:
1) Pro-individual
2) Team: Best net score of the team at each hole.
All teams will play each of the 3 courses (St. Andrews, Carnoustie, Kings Barns) over the first three days. A cut will then be made to the leading 60 professionals and those tying for 60th place. (Prize money will be paid to the leading 70 professionals and ties). Additionally there will be a cut to the top 20 teams.
The fourth and final round for those players making the cut will then be played at St. Andrews. N.B. There will be some professionals making the cut by virtue of their team position only, i.e. they will have missed the professional cut of the top 60 and ties. These professionals will obviously then ONLY BE COMPETING FOR THE TEAM PRIZEFUND on the final day.
