Martin Kaymer feels he has done all he can to earn a Captain's pick for the Ryder Cup ahead of Darren Clarke announcing his decision on Tuesday.
The German fired a closing 68 at the Made in Denmark to secure a sixth top ten in his last ten European Tour events as his recent good form continued at Himmerland Golf & Spa Resort.
The two-time Major Championship winner's recent performances were not enough to earn him an automatic spot on the plane to Hazeltine but he is hopeful of a pick having played on the last three victorious European teams - holing the putt to retain the trophy in 2012 at Medinah.
"I think I've done as much as I can," he said. "At the end of the day, we can speculate as much as we want. Darren, he needs to make a decision and he will make it on Monday or Tuesday and then we will know more.
"But it would be another great experience of my golfing career and to play four Ryder Cups in a row would be amazing."
Kaymer finished the week in Farsø six shots behind winner Thomas Pieters, who began the week with a course record-equalling 62 and ended it with three birdies to take the title by one shot from Bradley Dredge.

The Belgian has finished fourth, second and first in his last three events, and Kaymer knows where one of his three picks would be going if he were Ryder Cup Captain.
"If I were the Captain, he would be my pick, that's for sure because he brings something special to the team," he added.
"He hits the ball far and he's very good on short game and obviously he proved that he can play under pressure very well - and he's a nice guy.
"So if I were the captain - fortunately I'm not because it's a tough decision - I would pick Thomas for sure."
