Kjeldsen quick to catch Hanson at SAS Masters

Peter Hanson held a two stroke lead going into the final round of the SAS Masters, but a number of his rivals have made up some ground early on Sunday.

Scandinavian Masters - Round Three

Soren Kjeldsen, starting the day two shots adrift of Hanson’s ten under par mark, immediately reduced the deficit with a birdie at the first before collecting another stroke at the second to take a share of the lead.

And Nick Dougherty also looked to be going well when he birdied the first to go nine under, but a double bogey five at the second has put him alongside Gary Orr at seven under. Orr had started on eight under but bogeyed his first hole.

Jamie Donaldson collected two strokes in a front nine 32, moving him within five shots of Hanson’s ten under par score, while Oliver Fisher improved to six under after collecting birdies at two of his first three holes.

Elsewhere, Wales’ Bradley Dredge collected two strokes in six holes to go six under, while Craig Lee has set a modest clubhouse target of two under after a 68.

Sweden’s Hanson is level par for the day after going through the par four first in regulation.
