Sixteen year old Matteo Manassero will always remember his first ever round in The Open Championship - not just for his own one over par 71, but also the 65 by 59 year old playing partner Tom Watson.
"Tom was unbelievable - it was fantastic," said last month's youngest-ever winner of the British Amateur title.
Only Young Tom Morris back in the 1860s has played in The Open Championship at an earlier age than Manassero, whose win also earned him a place in next April's Masters Tournament.
"I was nervous, but it was a positive nervous - it was adrenalin," he added.
Manassero also partnered his boyhood idol Sergio Garcia and could have been beaten him but for bogeys at the 16th and 18th.
