Moolman, Sjoholm lead 93 players who progress from Second Stage

93 players progressed from tournaments at four sites across Spain in the Second Stage of DP World Tour Qualifying School.

They will now head to the Lakes Course at Infinitum, Tarragona next week to battle for a DP World Tour card for the 2023 season.

Germany’s Phillip Katich was victorious at Desert Springs with rounds of 66-67-68-66 for a 21-under par total.

Sweden’s Jens Fahrbring and England’s Tom Murray topped the leaderboard in Emporda on 17-under par.

The lowest scoring was at Isla Canela with South Africa’s Pieter Moolman and Joel Sjoholm of Sweden sharing the tournament win on 26-under par.

Moolman won the Fortress Invitational on the Sunshine Tour in October and will be hoping to maintain his strong form heading into the Final Stage.

Sjoholm also won earlier this year, taking the victory at the Hopps Open de Provence on the Challenge Tour and will clearly be one to watch at Infinitum.

The qualifying spots available at each site was as follows:

  • Desert Springs - 24
  • Empordà - 23
  • Isla Canela - 23
