Joakim Haegmann became only the second Swede to win a European Tour event in his home country and a crowd of 28,000 cheered him to victory. It was his second tour success and he said: The feeling walking down the 18th in front of so many people knowing that you are winning is impossible to describe and the hardest thing was to get the tears out of my eyes so I could hit the last putt." Haegmann started the final round four strokes clear of the field and he won by four.
