The Debrief: 2020 Alfred Dunhill Championship

Everything you need to know from a thrilling week at the 2020 Alfred Dunhill Championship.

Bezuidenhout

Christiaan Bezuidenhout secured his second European Tour title in style while Richard Bland had another strong week at the second event of the South African Swing.

Here is everything you need to know from a thrilling week at Leopard Creek Country Club.

Bezuidenhout returns to the winner's circle

Home favourite Bezuidenhout used all of his experience to secure a second European Tour crown on Sunday, as a brilliantly composed bogey free back nine of 34 handed him a four shot victory. The South African had started the day three shots off the lead and turned in 35 after following up three early birdies with a double bogey at the seventh and a bogey on the eighth. But birdies at the 11th, 14th and 15th took him to 14 under par and earned him a new trophy to add to the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters hosted by the Sergio Garcia Foundation crown he won in 2019. "It's incredible," he said. "This tournament has been close to my heart since I played it for the first time. It's always been a tournament I wanted to win and to pull it off today is really, really special to me. I'm proud of myself to stick in there and to have pulled it off round here."
