The Genesis Scottish Open sees the return of the Rolex Series to the DP World Tour for the second time in 2026 and here is all that players of the DP World Tour's official fantasy game need to know.
A truly world class field has assembled at the Renaissance Club this week for the tenth Rolex Series and fifth co-sanctioned staging of Scotland's national open.
The biggest stars from both sides of the Atlantic are descending on East Lothian for a potentially career-changing week, with DP World Tour and PGA TOUR cards potentially on the line along with places at the Masters and Open and the title of Genesis Scottish Open champion.
World Numbers One and Two Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy headline the field and they are joined by fellow reigning Major champions Aaron Rai and Wyndham Clark.
Robert MacIntyre will once again be expected to lead the home charge, in a field that features 11 of the 12 Europeans who won the Ryder Cup at Bethpage last year.
Race to Dubai Rankings Delivered by DP World leader Patrick Reed will be hoping to take a step closer to the year-long title while fellow challengers and multiple 2026 winners Eugenio Chacarra, Jayden Schaper and Casey Jarvis also tee it up.
Five-time Major champion Brooks Koepka returns to the event for the first time in 11 years, with further Major winners in the field including Shane Lowry, Adam Scott, Gary Woodland, Francesco Molinari, Pádraig Harrington, Brian Harman, Justin Thomas, J.J. Spaun and Schauffele.
Who are the most backed players?
There is a strong preference towards players from the British Isles this week, with England's Matt Fitzpatrick the most popular pick as the World Number Four features in 63% of teams.
His countryman Tommy Fleetwood and MacIntyre are second and third, at 42% and 35% respectively.
McIlroy, champion in 2023, is in 32% of teams, with two-time U.S. Open winner Clark rounding out the top five at 28%.
Who are our ones to watch?
Here, we pick out three players in action this week who are worth considering for your Fantasy team selections.
Favourite - Scottie Scheffler
Not a brave or bold choice but not one that can be argued with either as the all-conquering World Number One makes his summer trip to the British Isles. After finishing 12th on his debut at Renaissance in 2021, he actually missed the cut the following year and while he failed to make the weekend once more in 2022, he has not done it since. That run includes two top tens here in 2023 and 2025 along with the small matter of 18 ranking wins including three Majors and four spells and 199 weeks at World Number One, a position he has held contiuously since May 2023. Only one of those wins has come in 2026 but he has yet to finish outside the top 25 and has four runner-up finishes including in his last start. Finish one shot ahead of Scottie and it's safe to say you've had a good week.
Form Horse - Matt Fitzpatrick
It is almost hard to comprehend that the Englishman arrived at this event 12 months ago ranked 77th in the Official World Golf Ranking. But a tie for fourth was followed by another the following week at The Open, forming a run of eight top tens in 12 starts that culminated in a play-off victory over Rory McIlroy at the DP World Tour Championship. A runner-up finish at THE PLAYERS was then followed by two quickfire solo wins on the PGA TOUR as well as a team victory alongside brother Alex at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. He has since finished second at the RBC Canadian Open and fourth at the Travelers Championship and arrives in Scotland as World Number Four. Add in a record at Renaissance that includes a second and a top ten alongside last season's top five and the man from Sheffield should be full of confidence.
Wild Card - Bernd Wiesberger
It says a lot about the quality of the field this week that a player of the Austrian's class and experience is a Wild Card but he does tee it up as the World Number 154. He was as low as 380th earlier in the year but is on a rapid upward trajectory after his win at the Volvo China Open, which has been followed by five top 25s in seven starts, including a third-place last time out, and a return to the Major stage. The real thing in his favour, however, is course knowledge, having lifted the trophy the first time the event was played at Renaissance seven years ago. That win came at a record 22 under and Wiesberger looks to be edging towards something like that form in a year that saw him claim three wins, finish third on the Race to Dubai and reach World Number 21. It may also help that the course has been rerouted back to the layout when he won in 2019.

Looking back - BMW International Open
After a strong start to the season, Michael Hollick had gone slightly off the boil in recent weeks which may explain why his victory earned 228 points for just 305 players - or 1.10%.
Our Favourite Joaquin Niemann had a good week as he finished in a tie for seventh, while Form Horse Eugenio Chacarra won the European Swing despite missing the cut, with Wild Card David Micheluzzi also missing the weekend.
