The European Tour travels to Atlanta, Georgia for the first Major of the year. The Masters Tournament at majestic Augusta National Golf Club is one of the most eagerly anticipated events on the golfing calendar. Last year Angel Cabrera added a Masters Green Jacket to his 2007 US Open victory. Angel defeated the American duo of Chad Campbell and Kenny Perry after a two hole play-off. Angel talks to ETW about claiming the Green Jacket last April as well as his hopes going in to this year’s event.
Italian amateur Matteo Manassero will be making his US Masters debut this week and at just 16 years old the reigning Amateur Champion will become the youngest player to compete in the Masters. In an exclusive interview Matteo tells ETW about his climb to being the number one ranked amateur in the world as well as his aspirations for the week ahead at Augusta.
In a second preview this week ETW takes a look at the Madeira Islands Open BPI – Portugal. The event has been a part of The European Tour International Schedule since 1993 and was staged at Santo de Serra every year until 2009 when it moved to the neighbouring island of Porto Santo, and it will return there once again this week.
