Genworth Stats Pack - Round 2 Review

Francesco Molinari converted seven birdies against three bogeys on his way to a second round 68, to lead by one at the half way stage. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 30 year old golfer from Italy ranks 9th for Driving Accuracy (with 21/28 fairways), 20th for Greens in Regulation (with 23/36 greens) and 7th for Putts per Round (with 53 putts in total). Francesco has also made more birdies than any other player in the field and he ranks 2nd for Par 4 Scoring (which seems to be a key ingredient around the Wentworth course).

Alejandro Cañizares converted four birdies against two bogeys on his way to a second round score of 70. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 30 year old golfer from Spain has driven the ball well but his approach play has not been quite so accurate. We must highlight that when missing the greens, Alejandro has scrambled well and he is arguably putting the best of all the players in the field.

George Coetzee converted three birdies against one bogey on his way to a second round score of 70. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 26 year old golfer from South Africa is hitting the ball a long way (as usual) and his approach play, scrambling and putting is all very strong. But considering his power, it is interesting that George has not yet managed to hit a Par 5 green in sub-regulation (two shots).

Mark Foster has been imperious with the longer clubs which has resulted in him dropping fewer shots than any other player in the field so far (just two bogeys which came on the 2nd and 3rd holes early in today’s round). Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 37 year old golfer from England ranks 9th for Driving Accuracy and 1st for Greens in Regulation, plus he also ranks 1st for Scrambles.

Marc Warren converted four birdies against two bogeys on his way to a second round score of 70. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 32 year old Scottish golfer’s long game has not been quite as consistent as the other leaders but his touch on and around the greens has been excellent. Marc ranks high in each of the short game categories and he is actually scoring well across the different hole types (being the Par 3’s / Par 4’s / Par 5’s).
