Genworth Stats Pack - Round 2 Review

Joost Luiten converted six birdies against two bogeys on his way to a second round 68, to lead by one at the half way stage. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 27 year old golfer from the Netherlands is performing very well from tee to green, ranking 6th for Driving Accuracy, 2nd for Greens in Regulation and 1st for Putts per GIR (his approach shots are not only hitting the greens but they are also finishing close enough to convert more birdie putts than any other player). Joost will be very difficult to beat over the weekend if this level of consistency continues.

Paul Waring converted seven birdies against two bogeys on his way to a second round 67. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 28 year old Englishman is driving the ball long and straight off the tee and hitting lots of Greens in Regulation, plus he ranks 1st for Par 3 Scoring with a 2.50 average. Note that Paul has also hit three of the Par 5 greens in sub-regulation two shots (ranking 2nd).

The same trend is apparent with each of the leading players so far this week, very strong long game stats. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, Callum Macaulay ranks 3rd for Driving Accuracy and 11th for Greens in Regulation, plus he leads the Par 5 Scoring with a 4.13 average. The 29 year old Scotsman has made just one cut so far this year on the European Tour so a big week will do him a world of good.

Eduardo De La Riva fired one eagle and six birdies against just one bogey on his way to a second round 65 (the low round of the day along with Hennie Otto and Simon Wakefield). Looking at his Genworth Statistics, we see yet another strong long game performance, with the 30 year old Spaniard ranking 2nd for Driving Accuracy, 2nd for Greens in Regulation and 7th for Putts per GIR.
