Agim joined the European Seniors Tour after a career as a hairdresser in Michigan. He was a regular visitor to Europe between 1997 and 2000 but missed the whole of the 2001 season as a result of a bout of illness and played in 2002 on a medical exemption. Agim was born in Albania but along with his mother and three brothers escaped the Communist regime in his homeland by crossing the mountains into Greece on foot. The family spent 14 months in a refugee camp before being allowed to move to Germany and he was there until 1956 when he emigrated to America where he established a hair salon in Michigan. Agim did not take up golf until he was 29 but soon developed an effective, albeit distinctive, technique that has seen him produce a number of fine finishes on the European Seniors Tour. To date, his best performance came at the 1997 Ryder Collingtree Seniors Classic, the 1999 Dalmahoy Scottish Seniors Open and the 2000 TUI Seniors Open where he finished fourth.
