Won the Vietnam Open on the Omega Tour in 1997, which earned him a place in the Subaru Sarazen World Open for the past two seasons. Tied for 39th on his first visit to Chateau Elan but missed cut in 1998. Was exempt on Australian Tour from 1994 to 1997 as one of the country's top five trainees. Played in Asia from 1995 to 1997. Missed out on his European Tour card at PQ2 in 1997 but finally made it to the main Tour by qualifying last November.
