Antero claimed Category 5 membership after he produced rounds of 73, 72 and 74 to finish in sixth place at the 2000 Seniors Qualifying School in Spain. Played in several events on the 2000 Seniors circuit with his best finish coming at the Tui Golf Championship in Fleesensee where he finished tied for 26th. Turned pro after his 50th birthday in order to fulfil his dream of competing on the Seniors circuit.
