After leading the graduates at the 2007 Senior Tour Qualifying School he recorded his best finish of 2008 in the Azores Senior Open. Ended the season in 52nd position in the Order of Merit. Having twice succeeded at the Qualifying School in eighth position (in 2002 and 2005), went all the way to victory at the 2007 edition. Prior to joining the Tour, he enjoyed a reputation as one of the finest players in the Midlands. The club professional at Kibworth GC in Leicestershire has won numerous events in the Midlands PGA Region, and headed its Order of Merit on one occasion. He also won the 2005 Senior British Club Professional title at King's Lynn. Before turning professional he was a member of the English Youth team, and also represented the English public schools against their American counterparts in 1969. Away from golf, he is an avid wine collector.
