Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Place of Birth5′ 10″ (178cm) HeightTravelling Interests2005*, 09* Qualifying SchoolMade a fairytale return to the Senior Tour in the 2009 season opening Aberdeen Brunei Senior Masters presented by The Stapleford Forum, ten months after battling for his life following a horrific accident. Played the first two events of the 2008 season before suffering severe burns when the carburettor of a van he was trying to fix exploded, leaving him in hospital for 21 days with his life hanging in the balance. Now plays with a protective strapping on his arm following a gruelling rehabilitation programme. Nicknamed “Mr Monday”, due to his record of earning a place in more than 50 tournaments on the Champions Tour through qualification at the start of the week. This ability to perform under pressure served him well at the European Senior Tour Qualifying School in 2005, when the left-hander won the Stage One event at Pinheiros Altos by ten strokes and then finished 12th in the Finals at Pinta. A meticulous player, he produced a number of solid displays in 2006 to earn a full card for last year, and promptly made an excellent start to the new season by finishing a stroke behind Gordon J Brand in the DGM Barbados Open. Top 20 finishes swiftly followed in his next tournaments, culminating in a tie for fourth at the AIB Irish Seniors Open. Performed consistently well throughout the remainder of the season to finish 12th on the Order of Merit.
