CAN
Vancouver Place of Birth5′ 10″ (178cm) HeightFamily, history, reading, hiking Interests1998* (joint winner), 99 Qualifying SchoolDoug qualified for the European Seniors Tour by winning the Qualifying School at Hardelot in possibly the worst weather he has ever played in. He was introduced to golf at the age of seven by his father having grown up a seven iron distance from the 17th green at Fraserview Golf Club in Vancouver. He turned professional in 1966 after winning the Pacific Northwest Junior Amateur Championship, serving his apprenticeship in the Vancouver area. From 1971 to 1974 Doug played the Canadian Tour, winning a number of satellite events, until taking a break from the rigours of travelling to raise four daughters. With the youngest having now left the nest Doug decided to pick up where he left off and where better than the European Seniors Tour.
