Then, in the Peugeot Open de France at the National G.C., he scored opening rounds of 68, 65 and 73 to share the lead with Nick Faldo entering the last round, but fell away on the last day. "I will be looking to play with greater consistency in more events in 1996," he says. Eric, whose father is a golf professional, has been playing since he was four. "That's when I hit my first shot," he explains. "Golf has always been a big part of my life - I got my passion for the game from my father."
