Finished 15th on the Order of Merit in 2006, helped by a share of second place at the lucrative FIRSTPLUS Wales Seniors Open. Made his winning breakthrough the previous year at the Nokia 9300 Italian Seniors Open, beating Ireland’s Eamonn Darcy at the first hole of a sudden-death play-off. This victory plus three other top-five finishes steered him to 15th place on the final Order of Merit – 10 places higher than in his rookie year. Born and raised in Morocco but at 18 moved to France, where he won 25 titles and was ranked the country’s top player in 1981, 1982, 1987 and 1988. Played a number of years on The European Tour and claimed two Challenge Tour events in his home country in 1992. Coached the Moroccan team from 1993 to 1996 and the French squad from 1997 to 2001 and has also established himself as a course architect with 15 courses in France bearing his signature. Currently serves on The European Senior Tour Committee.
