A building contractor from Callander, Gordon earned his place on the European Seniors Tour after sharing first place in the 1999 European Seniors Tour Qualifying School having entered as an amateur. Started playing at the age of five and has never lived more than a few hundred yards from a golf course. Between 1978 and 1983 he was a regular member of the Scottish amateur team and won a number of events in that period. Soon afterwards he became captain of the Scottish Boys Team whose members included Stephen Gallacher, Raymond Russell and Gordon Sherry. Joined Gleneagles three years ago to sharpen his game for the Seniors Tour.
